6th Edition of Biennale International du Lin de Portneuf, Québec

The global textile industry forms the context for Haifeng's installation Para-Production, in which the flow of manufactures goods and capitalism's logic of 'useful' labour are symbolically reversed. Haifeng's participatory project for the BILP (Biennale International du Lin de Portneuf) incorporates scraps from some of the remaining textile workers on Chabanel Street in Montreal and from the now defunct Caserne du lin in Saint-Leonard.
